Gary Crawford, CIH, FAIHA

Gary Crawford has over 45 years of experience in industrial hygiene, indoor environmental quality and exposure assessments in commercial, institutional and industrial settings. He has specialized experience in matters related to asbestos, mold, microbial contamination and exposures to toxic substances. He has brought together architects, engineers and environmental health specialists to provide comprehensive, integrated investigations and solutions of building-related problems, particularly with ventilation systems. He has extensive experience in litigation support and expert witness testimony. He is certified by the American Board of Industrial hygiene, and is a Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

Mr. Crawford has consulted with clients from both public and private entities. He has conducted and managed the investigation and remediation of water damage, mold and other microbial contamination issues in schools, hospitals, offices, residences, and industrial buildings. Mr. Crawford has served as a principal consultant on projects for the US Departments of Energy and Defense investigating health and safety issues at nuclear weapons plants, and Army and Navy bases. Mr. Crawford managed a nationwide building survey program for manufacturers of asbestos containing building products involved in asbestos product liability claims. Mr. Crawford also conducted asbestos risk assessments and building surveys for the US Army, Navy, and Veterans Administration and managed OSHA Health & Safety Compliance Assistance Consulting Programs for the states of Idaho and New Hampshire. Mr. Crawford is a frequent speaker and author; has written several published articles on various environmental topics as well as chapters in textbooks on industrial hygiene.
