RHP’s Ashish Jachak, PhD is Scheduled to Speak on Dermal Absorption of Chemicals at the 2024 PSX Conference

RHP Risk Management’s Ashish Jachak, PhD will join product stewardship professionals at the PSX Conference in Denver, CO from October 15-17, 2024. The PSX Conference is designed to encourage engagement and discussions among decision makers, professionals, regulators and scientists in the areas of sustainability, innovation, extended producer responsibility, proactive chemical risk management, and the latest industry regulations, technologies and best practices. Dr. Jachak is scheduled to speak on “A Review of Quantitative Structure-Permeability Relationship Models Which Predict Dermal Absorption of Chemicals”. Dr. Jachak’s session will lead an exploration of the risk assessment community in a framework to systematically assess existing mathematical models of dermal exposure, and implementation of a hierarchal approach for a quantitative structure permeability relationship model selection as it applies to dermal exposures from chemicals.

About RHP Risk Management

RHP Risk Management is an environmental and occupational health consulting firm of scientists, toxicologist, public health professionals, anthropologist, and risk assessors that cover practices including environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, exposure science, and human health interaction and risk assessment.

RHP’s environmental health and safety (EHS) experts develop, evaluate, and implement effective product stewardship strategies and incorporate such strategies to craft safe and sustainable chemistries. RHP’s EHS team works in line with RHP product stewardship professionals to audit and adapt product manufacturing processes to mitigate exposure risks to the consumer and to the environment. Our experts use sophisticated and accepted methods to model, identify, and measure exposures and manage risk. To develop reliable, reproducible and transparent exposure risk measurements, RHP professionals and experts conduct modeling that follows a tiered approach in addition to performing exposure simulation studies on products in RHP Risk Management’s Exposure Science Laboratory.
